The blower is almost running at full capacity, while the slide valve in front of the exhaust fan is set to a very low opening degree. The exhaust fan has two functions: to draw in cooling air and to remove flue gases; the slide valve of the exhaust fan on site is set to a very low opening degree. It might have been set too high, in case the smoke is drawn away before it has fully burned. Since we need to install a similar exhaust gas combustion furnace again, it’s necessary to determine the flow rates for the blower and the exhaust fan, experts. Can the current flowing through the fan be used to estimate the fan’s flow rate? What other parameters are needed?

Estimating the current is tricky. It is recommended that, when using blowers and exhaust fans of the same specifications and models, debugging be carried out first at the original setting. First, allow the temperature inside the incinerator chamber to reach the specified value. Then, monitor the outlet temperature and the condition of the gases exiting the system (it is recommended to use a gas concentration detector to verify complete combustion). Based on the actual conditions, gradually adjust the opening degree
