Explanation requested for the cutting groove provided on the tip of the positioning pin

As shown in the figure below, since the bolt above is a positioning pin, what is the purpose of creating a tool withdrawal groove? Is it just for simple marking, or to hold the hex head screws tighter? Let’s all talk about it
It is probably to ensure a good fit of the screw head. Without a chip clearance groove, there will always be protrusions at the joints due to tool deflection and other reasons.
