For various reasons, our facility will be shut down for an extended period. How should we maintain the reactor’s agitator during this time? Is it necessary to rotate it regularly? Should the coupling be disengaged for turning the machine, or not?
When it is not in use for a long time, regular turning of the shaft is definitely necessary; there is no need to disconnect the coupling, and the motor also needs to have its shaft turned.
The shaft should be turned regularly; otherwise it will deform. There is no need to disconnect the coupling.
Maintain lubrication, perform regular turning of the shaft, and keep the coupling connected when possible without removing it.
