Since two sets of mechanical seals are used, the substance in question is likely toxic and harmful; it must not leak into the air. Such substances usually have an odor, allowing for identification by scent. If the pressure exceeds that of the mechanical seal cooling fluid (isolation fluid) itself, it means that there is leakage from the medium side; the mechanical seal inside has broken or the O-rings have corroded. If the pressure does not increase but only fluctuates, then the leakage amount is not significant; it can be used as a backup pump, and it can be repaired once the conditions are right
