Centrifugal fan outlet pressure relief valve? . ? ?

It doesn’t make sense in principle, right? ? It’s acceptable to call this a check valve (with a damping function), but calling it a pressure relief valve doesn’t seem right, unless your motor starts using variable frequency drive. First, if this valve is indeed a pressure relief valve, then air should only be allowed to pass through it after the fan has reached the pressure required by the process. If it is started with variable frequency, this makes sense. If 2, it is not started via variable frequency, then starting under load will occur; that is, as the speed increases, the load also increases, and the overload during startup will cause the system to shut down. So, once this valve is installed, it will not open if the pressure does not reach the required level. For centrifugal fans, the inlet should be slightly opened and the outlet should be fully connected to the atmosphere in order to start at the minimum load. If 3, the pipeline where this valve is located should lead to the atmosphere downstream of the valve. But there is no branch process before this. So I really didn’t understand this. For newly installed equipment, it’s recommended to check whether it matches the design drawings and to understand what its function is.
