What are the common interlocks for reciprocating compressors?
Generally, oil pressure and shaft displacement are essential: lol
I’m aware of the interlocks related to shaft temperature, shaft vibration, and motor rotor temperature
Cooling water pressure, inlet pressure
Oil pressure, oil temperature, vibration, exhaust temperature, pressure
Oil temperature, oil pressure, shaft vibration, shaft displacement, motor temperature, outlet pressure,
Typical interlocks include many types: generally, there are alerts for oil pressure exceeding the low-low threshold, oil temperature exceeding the low-low threshold, vibration levels being below the low-low threshold, alarm reset, normal operation of auxiliary systems, liquid levels in the inlet and outlet buffer tanks being below the high-high threshold, full opening of the return valve, and so on...

There are many types of reciprocating compressors, and the specific choice depends on the requirements of your equipment. If you are dealing with operations, check the manual; if you are working on design, this issue doesn’t seem to be a problem, right?:) Usually, what is mentioned on floor 6 is sufficient.
We only have a low lubricating oil pressure interlock, with a three-out-of-two requirement. Water softening temperature, exhaust temperature, and water pressure only trigger alarms. Non-linked shutdown
