Question: Are acid-resistant rubber gaskets and acid-resistant asbestos rubber gaskets the same thing?
Original poster, check Baidu – different matrices result in varying acid resistance. Asbestos generally has good alkali resistance, and the magnesium oxide present in asbestos tends to be released when exposed to organic acids
They’re different; one is made of rubber, while the other is a composite of rubber and asbestos
