I would like to ask everyone: for this MG1 rubber bellows seal, which parts can be manufactured in-house using existing CNC lathes, conventional lathes, grinders, and drilling machines, and which parts need to be purchased externally?
MG1 is mainly composed of a moving ring, a rubber bellows, springs, and two metal components. The moving ring and springs are purchased externally; a vulcanizing machine is required for the rubber bellows. This can also be handled in accordance with your purchase plan. If the quantity of those two metal components is large, stamping is a better option (the original ones are made by stamping), while if the quantity is small, your lathe can also be used for manufacturing them. In fact, if the overall quantity is low, it’s more cost-effective to purchase everything externally.
Generally, the springs are purchased externally, as are the rubber bellows and O-rings; the stationary and rotating rings along with the seats are manufactured in-house.
