This pump was photographed after the coupling had been installed and adjusted, as well as the foot bolts tightened. The pump’s flow rate is 755, its head is 66, and it is equipped with a motor of 220KW. The first photo shows the installation of the foundation at one end of the pump, while the second photo shows the installation of the motor. The gap between the two platform plates where the pump is installed is too large; the shims are not installed in the proper manner and not correctly positioned. I guess those shims were cut using a gas cutter
First image: There should be a proper frame; using just a few weld points to level the contact surface in the middle of such a frame is not sufficient, as it can cause additional vibrations or resonance in the equipment, leading to damage to the entire unit. In particular, the foundation bolts are very prone to breaking under vibration. The shims were placed carelessly, not in the proper positions on the equipment. Second image: The base is missing; it should be leveled by using embedded bolts and shims together with the concrete, the equipment should then be installed in place, adjusted slightly with shims before the bolts are tightened. After that, secondary grouting is carried out, using specialized grouting material (to prevent the already fixed equipment from deforming due to vibration from ordinary concrete pouring materials). This installation deserves a penalty! In summary, the conclusion is: these harmful scumbags should be thrown out! ! ! ! Fire the on-site supervisor! ! ! ! Strictly investigate the **behaviors** of the owner’s unit in on-site management! ! ! !
Last year, the holes for the embedded bolts prepared during the on-site construction were not suitable; having to break them out and create new holes took too much time.
Shims should be placed on both sides of the four foundation bolts; what does it mean to place them in the middle? The anchor bolts should be pre-installed; why are there two steel plates lying under the equipment base in the first diagram?
Can I get an overall view? Was this pump sold without even a base? Firstly, the supply usually includes a single base, with the motor and pump both mounted on this base. For grouting, there needs to be a first grouting and a second grouting; the installation process is simply chaotic.

There is no proper base; instead, a sheet is used. Since the foot screw holes are drilled manually, if they are not drilled properly, stress concentration can easily occur, causing the plate to arch in the middle or to bend at the edges. This leads to excessive vibration of the pump and reduces its lifespan. Additionally, it is difficult to determine levelness and to align properly; therefore, this method of installation is not recommended in the future. If it must be used, it is best to use a single plate to solve the problem.
