Could an experienced technician explain the methods used in practice for aligning two gauges? 1. The way to read a dial indicator without distinguishing between positive and negative values. 2. A simple method for calculating by adding or removing shims. 3. Do the calculated axial and radial values for the upper and lower parts need to be divided by two?
