Why is the oil filter designed to flow from outside to inside? Instead of flowing from the center outward?
For easier cleaning, it is much simpler to clean the outside than the inside.
I think it flows from the outside in. This is because the outer cross-sectional area is larger than the inner one; as a result, dirt adheres to a larger surface area, making it less likely for blockages to occur, and thus the filter’s service life is extended.
