When my company inspected the three-stage horizontal compressor, it was found that the slider adjustment pad was added to the upper end of the slider instead of the lower end. Five adjustment pads have been added to the upper end. Now the upper end gap between the piston and the cylinder is 4mm, and the lower end is 1.5mm. The concentricity difference between the cylinder and the piston is more than 1mm, and the guide ring is worn twenty or thirty times. Whether the concentricity between the piston and the slider is too large has anything to do with the adjustment pad.
When adjusting the coaxiality of the slide crosshead and the cylinder center in a reciprocating compressor, the principle should be followed: when the slide plate on the cross head is stressed, the center line of the cross head should be 0.03 mm lower than the center line of the cylinder; when the slide plate under the cross head is stressed, the center line of the cross head should be 0.03 mm higher than the center line of the cylinder.
Generally speaking, the forward crosshead (when the lower slide plate is under force) adjustment pad is at the lower part, and the reverse crosshead (when the upper slide plate is under force) adjustment pad is at the lower part. But the concentricity difference between the center of your crosshead and the center of the cylinder is more than 1mm. The concentricity between the piston and the slider is obviously too large. It is normal for the crosshead to wear 20 to 30 times.
The cylinder and crosshead slide need to be re-centered, and the concentricity must be controlled within 0.05. It can be adjusted by adjusting the legs on the side of the cylinder head. After the adjustment is completed, check the beating of the piston rod. You didn't explain how the piston rod beats.

How did you measure it? Have you checked the center of the center body and the crankshaft? The concentricity of the crosshead slideway and the crosshead pin hole, etc.
