Has the compressor coupling melted? What’s the reason? Is there a lack of oil?
Is it the shock-absorbing ring in the middle? Aren’t couplings made of cast iron or steel? How could it melt?
Are you sure it’s a coupling? It’s no small feat even for the buffer ring to get burned up like this. Strengthen regular inspections

The coupling is under excessive load, which causes heating. Check the alignment, whether there is excessive vibration during operation, verify that there is no overload in the operations, and inspect for mechanical defects such as sticking or lack of oil in the equipment.

Maximum degree of annealing~~~ Both the internal gear ring and the external gear ring have undergone heat treatment~~~ Alignment issues are very likely! If the overloaded drive shows performance, then again, the service factor of gear couplings is generally >1.25~~~~
It’s not clear where it’s melted; could it be the rubber ring inside? Perhaps it’s not aligned properly, or there’s a mechanical issue with excessive torque, causing stress on the rubber ring
