Why is it that equipment installation always involves using foot bolts, installing embedded plates in the foundation, and welding the equipment base to those embedded plates? Wouldn’t it be simpler and more convenient to do it that way?
It was not done. After it is welded to the embedded plate, it becomes difficult to replace or maintain it.
There are also issues with rigid and flexible connections
Connecting with bolts can provide some shock absorption, and it is also convenient for maintenance
