The ammonia compressor seal at Dalian Refrigerator Factory has failed; the manufacturer has come multiple times to provide guidance on assembly, but oil leakage persists, and there is no solution. I have taken it apart for inspection now, and the situation is as shown in the picture. Please help analyze the cause?

It feels a bit rough; I wonder if the shaft runout value has been checked
Both the moving ring and the stationary ring contact surfaces are worn, but the wear mechanism is unknown It reached this state in just 1 month; under normal circumstances, it would take 4 years before such surface wear would occur
Considering material issues, ammonia may be corrosive to sealing materials, causing pitting
The image above shows the new seal; it has reached this condition after just one month of use – the rotating and stationary rings are worn out, resulting in oil leakage; This afternoon, an old unit was disassembled for comparative inspection, and a hardness test was conducted. The results showed that the hardness values of the stationary and rotating rings in the new seals were lower than those in the old seals; it seems the problem has been identified to some extent
What material is the static ring made of? Judging from its color, it’s probably a copper alloy; ammonia corrodes copper
Check to see if there are any deviations, and whether it matches the dimensions in the drawings
