The second stage of the compressor does no work

Our factory’s reciprocating compressors previously had a secondary outlet pressure of 4.0 MPa. After operating them for some time, it’s unclear what’s happening now – the primary outlet pressure has basically reached 4.0 MPa, while the secondary stage hardly does any work. The inlet pressure is 2.9 MPA, and all operating conditions are normal. What’s going on?
Faulty secondary intake valve, backflow of compressed gas
If the intake valve is faulty, the intake temperature will definitely soar; it should be noticeable, so measure the temperature of the intake valve on site.
Check the secondary intake and exhaust valves; the temperature is definitely high there. Also, take a look at the condition of any accumulated fluid
For the secondary intake valve, it’s necessary to check whether the unit has load control, and whether there are any issues with the control of the valve’s opening and closing
