Liquid ring chlorine compressor

After disassembling the liquid ring chlorine pump, it was found that there was obvious damage around the impeller hub. Could everyone help identify what caused this?
The root part of the leaf appears to be suffering from cavitation; it doesn’t seem to be that case here. Could it be that a small amount of chlorine gas has reacted with liquid to form acidic substances that cause corrosion?
What is used as the working fluid in this compressor?
It depends on what medium is used and whether liquid chlorine enters that chamber
Using concentrated sulfuric acid as the working fluid means it probably has a high water content
