Generally, pilot tests and scale-up tests are required to obtain the relevant parameter data. Or there are existing devices available for reference.
These conditions are not available at the moment; projects are generally time-sensitive. It’s not that it can’t be used, but various small problems keep arising, and we want to resolve this issue completely. It is possible to simulate through design or analysis, and to design each project separately in order to avoid the occurrence of these minor issues.
If the process parameters are correct, it is the responsibility of the equipment design
The process team should provide accurate process parameters: the composition, viscosity, and specific gravity of the materials before and after the reaction, the requirements for the agitator, as well as the professional design of the equipment.
Mainly regarding the calculations for mixing, I consulted several manufacturers; most of them determine these values by using simple mechanical calculation tables along with experience. The services that require professional analytical skills come at prices that are beyond what can be accepted, and such services have not been used before, so it’s not clear whether they will work in practice
