What are the common alarms for compressors, and what does MCC mean?
Screw compressors are used in a wide range of applications; they can be used as refrigeration compressors, air compressors, or compressors for process gases. I’m not sure which type you are referring to
The alarms for screw compressors generally relate to suction and discharge pressure as well as temperature. I’m not sure which manufacturer’s controller you are referring to – what are the alarm signals on that controller?
There are too many public alarms; MCC= Motor control center?? Does it refer to electrical systems?
The alarms for screw air compressors mainly relate to exhaust temperature and oil temperature; in models with more advanced features, there are also differential pressure alarm interlocks, water temperature alarms (for water-cooled units), as well as differential pressure alarms for the inlet filter and oil separator.
What are the typical efficiency levels for screw compressors, piston compressors, and centrifugal compressors?
MCC generally refers to an alarm from the main motor space heater, which can be silenced; the common alarms pertain to oil temperature, oil pressure, vibration, etc
