Selection of steam compressors

Everyone, have you used steam compressors? What form does the compressor take? What structure is used for the shaft seal? Can a labyrinth seal be used?
The screw used is fine; a labyrinth design can work as well
A mechanical seal must be used; a labyrinth seal is absolutely not acceptable
For processing capacities of 2 tons or less, rotary steam compressors are used due to their good cost-performance ratio, although they result in a higher temperature; for higher capacities, single-stage high-speed centrifugal compressors are employed.
Mechanical seal? It’s a gas – in what form? Which layout scheme corresponds to API682?
