Hey everyone, I have a problem like this: we have a fan here that is used to draw exhaust air from a pipeline. The workshop reports that the negative pressure at the fan’s inlet is not sufficient, which is why the air cannot be drawn out. Can this be translated as \"the fan’s air pressure is not enough\"? The gauge reading on the exhaust pipeline is 15 kPa; according to the fan’s technical specifications, the total pressure required is 10 kPa, so it’s only natural that the air cannot be drawn out. So does this mean that a lower wind pressure value should be chosen when selecting the fan?
Insufficient negative pressure requires a comprehensive analysis. First, process-related factors should be ruled out, such as blockages at the fan inlet and outlet, as well as changes in the backup pressure at the outlet. Once it is confirmed that there are no issues with the process, then the equipment itself should be examined for possible mechanical faults. Only after all these possibilities have been ruled out can a problem related to the fan’s design be considered.

Judging solely from the parameters, the selection is appropriate; the pressure specified in the technical specifications is -10 kilopascals, so the selection should be made accordingly. Even if a margin is allowed, it should be at most 2 or 3 kilopascals
