Are there any requirements for the working fluid in a water ring vacuum pump? How to choose the working fluid for a water ring vacuum pump? Are there any requirements regarding corrosion resistance and density? I hope experts can give me some advice
As a pump user, here are my thoughts: First and foremost, corrosion protection must be taken into account; the circulating fluid itself should not be corrosive to the pump body, and moreover, it is necessary to ensure that no corrosive substances are introduced from the gas phase. Second is the temperature requirement for the circulating fluid; this depends on the required vacuum level. If the temperature is too high, not only will the desired vacuum level not be achieved, but it can also cause severe damage to the impeller. Third, density certainly wouldn’t choose a medium with high density; however, economic considerations and safety factors need to be taken into account as well
It mainly depends on the parameters of the gas phase; if corrosion is present, then a pump body with corrosion-resistant properties must be chosen. Additionally, the temperature and impurity content of the circulating water need to be controlled. If it can be used in subsequent processes, then it can be reused after being processed and combined with other fluids

Wouldn’t it be better to choose a substance that is miscible with the gas phase, or one that can dissolve gaseous substances? Is it also preferable for the density of the working fluid to be as close as possible to that of the gaseous substances?
