What type of radial bearing shell is this?
It is called a tilting pad bearing, and there are three-piece and four-piece versions.
Additionally, the bearings with these two functions shown in the diagram – the thrust bearing and the supporting bearing – are both sliding bearings.
4 oil wedge sliding bearings, radial support bearings that withstand radial forces.
I just realized there’s a thrust bearing in the upper left corner; it must be a Kingsbury bearing, I guess.\ud83e\udd23
