One year after operation, the primary fan of the boiler began to experience excessive vibration and high bearing temperatures. After replacing the bearings, vibration problems reappeared after half a month; later, another major manufacturer was called in for repairs, but vibration issues persisted even after one or two months. Later, after replacing it with a new motor and running it for a few days, the vibration started to increase again. Mainly, the axial vibration is high. The vibration of the fan is relatively stable. What is the reason? Is there any good solution?
For such issues, it’s best to use a video showing the overall situation, including the secondary grouting of the equipment foundation. The cause of this problem is mostly issues left over from the initial installation, specifically problems with the quality of the secondary grouting. Additionally, issues that arise the day after include the dynamic balance of the rotor, the level of installation, the tightness of the foundation bolts, as well as process-related factors such as suction pressure, discharge pressure, and corresponding temperatures. It’s best to conduct a thorough inspection of that part. The secondary grouting area requires careful inspection: it is necessary to check whether grouting material is being used, and whether ordinary mortar is being used without proper compaction; a probe can be used to test the strength of the material in that area. If the strength is not good, secondary grouting must be done again.
Often, the base of such equipment is welded, resulting in poor rigidity; it is prone to deformation and stress. Over time, the bolts securing it may loosen as well! Next, use concrete to examine the entire interior of the base to see if there is any improvement!
