Hello everyone. Our company has just received the pump foundation design provided by the design institute; it includes an addition of 200mm, with embedments placed at the locations of the bolt holes. Fixing is carried out through leveling and welding. The pumps provided by the manufacturer are fixed through secondary casting using base bolts with a length of L=400; we are seeking everyone’s opinions on this. Thank you
This doesn’t conflict. 1. When the pump is in place, place shims near the foundation bolts; these are not embedded components but are used for leveling, and after leveling, the shims should be spot-welded in place. 2. Reserved holes for basic anchor bolts. The anchor bolts are inserted into the pre-drilled holes. After leveling, carry out grouting.
Thank you; you are referring to our normal leveling procedure, while I am talking about placing embedded parts at the location of the foot bolts and welding them to the frame for fixation.
Doesn’t the design institute provide a plan that involves installing embedded components, then leveling and welding them? Do you mean the equipment is directly welded to the embedded parts? Then how do you level it? I have done this kind of embedded part installation before; the equipment comes with adjustment screws, which are used to push against the embedded part in order to level it, and then shims are added before the screws are loosened. I think what you understand – that it’s sufficient to simply weld it directly onto the embedded part – is not correct. Construction errors in civil engineering are measured in centimeters; embedded components cannot ensure levelness, and it is necessary to level them out.
