When measuring different media, there may be a certain degree of corrosivity, which necessitates considering the choice of lining material for an electromagnetic flowmeter. The lining is a fundamental component of electromagnetic flowmeters. The proper selection of the lining material has a direct impact on the performance, operational stability, and lifespan of these flowmeters. So how should one choose the lining material? Selection of lining material for electromagnetic flowmeters: It should be chosen based on the corrosivity, wear resistance, and temperature of the medium being measured. Rigid/soft rubber can resist corrosion from mild acids and bases; it can withstand temperatures up to 65°C. Soft rubber has wear resistance. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) can resist corrosion from strong acids and bases with the exception of hot phosphoric acid, and it can handle medium temperatures of up to 130°C, but it lacks wear resistance. Polyurethane rubber oil has good wear resistance, but it is not resistant to acid and alkali corrosion; its temperature tolerance is also poor, with the medium temperature should be below 65°C. Lining material, main functions, scope of application: Rigid rubber 1. Can resist hydrochloric acid, acetic acid, oxalic acid, ammonia water, phosphoric acid, as well as 50% sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, and potassium hydroxide at room temperature. 2.
