What torque value should be used for the valve gland bolts of the reciprocating compressor 4M80?

There are 12 M30 high-strength bolts used for the gland bolts. Personally, I think these bolts do not require a very high torque value (it should be much lower than the values specified in the torque tables for ordinary bolts), as there have been instances in the past where the valve cover was crushed as a result of excessive torque.
Rather than relying on data, it is better to look at the actual results in order to determine what is the most reasonable approach. As long as it can be used without losing power, the smaller the better. If it’s too large, not only will the sealing ring be damaged, but in severe cases it will happen as you mentioned.
Check the corresponding torque value based on the bolt strength; the torque for our M30*2 bolts is 790 NM
