Therefore, it is essential to find ways to prevent the system oil from deteriorating prematurely, extend its service life, and save oil. The following are some precautions to prevent the deterioration of oil: 1. When transporting or distributing oil, use containers and tools with proper sealing; do not put the oil in dirty containers to avoid contaminating it. 2. In air compressors, the temperature at the outlet must not exceed 160–170°C. 3. When filling the machine with oil, be careful not to let dust, dirt, and moisture get into the oil, as the lifespan of the machine depends to a large extent on the cleanliness of the oil. 4. The water and sludge deposited in the engine oil should be removed regularly or continuously. 5. Maintain proper lubrication of the machine to prevent excessive wear on its components, as wear increases the gaps and causes the oil to become even more contaminated. 6. Although oil does not evaporate easily, significant losses of oil often occur due to spills and leaks when filling machines or containers with it. Therefore, be careful during operation and when adding oil to the machine, to prevent any loss of oil. 7. After draining the used oil and before filling it with new oil, the system should be thoroughly cleaned and wiped clean. 8. When filling the fuel tanks and containers, do not exceed their capacity limits. Space must be left in the container for the oil to expand when heated, to prevent leakage due to overflow caused by this expansion. 9. Regularly check the tightness of the machine housing, the covers of the system oil reservoirs, and the pipe connections; tighten the connections or replace the sealing gaskets to prevent oil leakage. 10. The temperature of the oil should generally not exceed 50–60°C; when a large amount of heat is generated, it is necessary to ensure proper cooling conditions for the oil. 11. The lubricant for air compressors must be compatible with that specific compressor; for example, Bolite air compressors require lubricants designed specifically for them.
