What material is AFM34?

AFM34 is an aramid fiber. Aramid fibers generally refer to aramids. Aramid (Nomex is a type of aramid, specifically meta-terephthaloyl-isophthalamic acid), is a new type of high-tech synthetic fiber that boasts excellent properties such as ultra-high strength, high modulus, heat resistance, acid and alkali resistance, light weight, insulation, aging resistance, and a long service life. It is widely used in fields such as composite materials, bulletproof products, building materials, special protective clothing, and electronic equipment. Aramid, whose full name is “poly(p-phenylene terephthalamide)”, is also known as Aramid fiber. It is a type of advanced high-tech synthetic fiber that boasts excellent properties such as ultra-high strength, high modulus, resistance to high temperatures, as well as resistance to acids and alkalis, along with a low weight. Its strength is 5 to 6 times that of steel wire, its modulus is 2 to 3 times that of steel wire or glass fiber, and its toughness is twice that of steel wire; meanwhile, its weight is only about 1/5 of that of steel wire. It does not decompose or melt at temperatures of 560 degrees Celsius. It has good insulation and aging resistance, as well as a long service life.
