I would like to ask everyone, which pipelines are generally needed to be analyzed in compressor vibration analysis?
First, eliminate the vibration sources as much as possible. Things of this kind are very complex, and making judgments on the spot is difficult; it’s not something that can be handled just by talking about it.
Pipelines for import and export compressor systems
When analyzing vibrations, the first thing to check is not the pipelines; it’s the cylinders. Determine whether there is any air leakage at the cylinder heads, and most importantly, check whether the sealing rings are in place properly. If everything is in order, then there must be liquid accumulation in some section of the pipeline
There are many types of compressors; please specify which type when raising a topic, so as to facilitate communication among everyone. In general, for reciprocating units, the vibration-related pipelines include the compressor inlet and outlet lines, return lines, etc. The check valve at the outlet and pipeline supports are key points for identifying sources of vibration. The installation of the buffer tank is also closely related to pipeline vibration.
There are metal expansion joints at both the inlet and outlet of the compressor, and vibrations are eliminated at these expansion joint locations. We analyzed the inlet and outlet pipelines of the compressor with Siemens to prevent excessive flow from causing stress-induced deformation or tearing of the pipes.
Compressor vibration can be mainly divided into two categories: 1. Vibration of the compressor itself, with the main influencing factors being the foundation, bolts, alignment, and assembly; 2. Vibration caused by the gas within the compressor system, with influencing factors including pipeline design, supports, airflow, surge, flow and pressure conditions, as well as liquid accumulation. 3. Resonance resulting from these two types of vibration.
The inlets and outlets of the compressor, the water cooling inlets and outlets between stages, as well as the inlets and outlets of the buffer tank all need to be analyzed
