Introduction to the pressure difference in the compressor balance pipe
The balance tube is used to counteract the axial thrust. A too low pressure difference indicates a large gap in the balance hub, resulting in high leakage; this prevents effective counteraction of the axial thrust and can cause the thrust bearing to become overloaded
I guess what you want to ask is about using the main seal gas of the dry gas seal and the pressure difference in the balance line as conditions for starting up the system and for implementing interlocks, but given how casual and abstract your question is, I don’t feel like going into details
