On December 1, 2023, the Tongluoxia gas storage facility was completed and accepted using 5 DTY5200D units at Jichai Chengdu Compressor Branch. This unit was independently developed and manufactured by the company; its accompanying motor has a power of 5,200 kilowatts, making it the high-speed reciprocating compressor with the highest power output currently available in China. As a major construction project, the Tongluoxia Gas Storage Facility is an important part of the southwestern gas storage network. It is also one of the key energy projects under Chongqing’s 14th Five-Year Plan. Located less than 50 kilometers from Chongqing’s urban area and near the areas with high gas demand, it will provide a stable source of gas to support seasonal load balancing and emergency gas supply in the Sichuan-Chongqing region once completed. The Tongluoxia gas reservoir is the first gas reservoir in China to be converted from a fractured depleted gas field, featuring a large proportion of working gas and high pressure. Leveraging over 10 years of experience in developing compressor systems for gas storage facilities, the company has tailored the DTY5200 compressor product to optimize and improve the project. This \"major national asset\" features remote automatic start/stop and loading/unloading capabilities, and employs combined pulsating vibration and torsional vibration analysis techniques to effectively meet the requirements of complex and varied operating conditions. The unit is equipped with a remote monitoring and fault diagnosis system that enables real-time prediction of operational faults, facilitating predictive maintenance. The high-quality completion of these 5 Jichai engines provides a solid foundation in terms of core equipment for the Tongluoxia gas storage facility to begin gas injection by 2024 and reach its full capacity by 2025. This is of great significance for advancing the construction of gas storage facilities in China, achieving low-carbon and sustainable development, and establishing a sound energy system.
