Should a 10T centrifuge be installed on a steel structural platform or a concrete platform? We have designed it to be installed on the steel structure. I’m worried that it will vibrate heavily after turning it on. The structure of your framework must have a significant impact on vibrations; a concrete foundation is definitely better
This centrifuge is equipped with damping oil shock absorbers; those produced by the German company GERB absorb more than 95% of vibrations. It is sufficient to request the centrifuge manufacturer to provide information on the dynamic loads in order to verify the stiffness of the platform. Most of the centrifuges produced by our company are currently installed on steel platforms, but the construction of these platforms and the selection of shock absorbers need to be done carefully.
