I’ve looked at the PID settings of several compressor manufacturers: some take the pressure from the outlet pipeline, some measure the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet, while others take the pressure from the inlet pipeline; in addition, some also consider temperature and pressure. It’s quite confusing, so I’d like to ask those who are more experienced for advice.
The compressor inlet and outlet temperatures and pressures, as well as the outlet flow rate – these five parameters are used for anti-surge control, which involves numerous PID calculations.
Each manufacturer’s design is different, and the locations of the sensors used also vary; the main requirement is that the anti-stall function can be achieved
