What are the consequences of stopping the forced rotation of the motor?

There are several pumps in the device; due to the elevation difference, it is not necessary to start the pumps, and the medium can be transported directly through them. But in this case, the pump will operate under forced conditions. What negative effects might this have on both the pump and the motor? (The pump is running in the forward direction)
It needs maintenance. The motor might still be able to generate electricity
For energy savings in this design, use regenerative braking
Is there no bypass? This violates the rules too much; how is energy consumption calculated? It’s possible they’re generating electricity secretly.
