A check valve needs to be installed at the outlet of a Roots blower, so is a check valve necessary at the outlet of a centrifugal blower as well?
Whether to set it or not depends on the process requirements. For example, those discharged into the atmosphere at the outlet do not require a check valve. If gas is supplied to the user by multiple units, and no check valve is installed, gas backflow can occur during power outages or shutdowns, causing the rotor to rotate in the opposite direction; therefore, a check valve must be installed.
