Does an ammonia refrigeration ice machine evaporator require an ammonia distributor?

Like the title, if necessary, what are the advantages? Finally, can you have a structure diagram for reference? Thank you. First time coming into contact with an ice machine.
I have never come across ammonia refrigeration ice machines, but the refrigeration principle should be the same as that of other ice machines. It is nothing more than throttling expansion refrigeration. The high-speed atomized refrigerant (here is ammonia) and the cold water heat are exchanged in the heat exchanger, and the water temperature is reduced. I have never heard that a distributor is needed (maybe I am ignorant). Generally, the heat exchanger, compressor and throttle valve are matched. If you must improve cooling efficiency, you can start from other aspects, such as lowering the ambient temperature. Hope it helps.
Your picture only shows the compressor and oil, not the evaporator.
