This is a solenoid valve used to control the instrument air supply; it generally opens when powered and closes when power is cut off.

The valve that is under control should be examined carefully; it’s best to find the manual for this valve or look for a diagram on the valve body showing the flow direction of the fluid. If there is air leakage, there are several possible causes: 1. If the leakage occurs in large amounts intermittently, the valve in question might be a three-way valve. Its operating actions are to connect the gas source, disconnect the gas source, and simultaneously relieve the back pressure on the valve. The movement of the controlled cylinder may be such that one side is equipped with a spring for reset; under the influence of gas pressure, the spring is compressed, causing the cylinder to move. When the gas-liquid in the cylinder is cut off and this pressure is released to the atmosphere, the cylinder moves in the opposite direction. This is how the phenomenon of exhaust, which you see as \"air leakage,\" occurs. 2. It only has cut-off and connection functions; if there is such significant air leakage, it is likely a valve malfunction that requires repair. For reference.

Our company uses a lot of them, and they are basically all permanently charged types.
The solenoid valve accepts only electrical signals to control the operation of the air circuit valve. I guess it’s the sound produced when the solenoid valve operates and causes the air circuit valve to move.
