Can a CNG compressor be directly modified to compress hydrogen?

The company owns several natural gas compressors. Due to the poor performance of the CNG refueling station market, it plans to convert these stations into hydrogen refueling stations; it’s not clear whether the compressors can be used directly in this new role
It cannot be used directly; hydrogen stations require high hydrogen pressure and high purity of hydrogen, so diaphragm compressors are generally chosen
