What type of pumps are generally used for transporting hot water at temperatures above 100°C? What happens if a regular freshwater pump is operated continuously?
If we set aside the parameter issues, it differs from other clean water pumps mainly in terms of net positive suction head and seal flushing
Ordinary clean water pumps seem to lack a seal flushing system. Using seal flushing for transporting high-temperature water is mainly intended to cool the seal; with ordinary clean water pumps, the seal is likely to start leaking very quickly
Use a high-temperature hot water pump; the bearings and mechanical seals require cooling water.
