The temperature probes of the thrust bearings in our company’s BCL409 centrifugal compressors are breaking down frequently. Has anyone encountered this issue? Do you have any good solutions? Thank you for the advice
First, how did you determine that the thrust bearing temperature probe was damaged? Second, were there any quality issues with the probes purchased from the time of the first damage until they were finally replaced, and what was the time interval between those incidents? It is also necessary to consider whether the actual insertion depth of the probe was measured before it was replaced (or the insertion depth specified in the relevant documentation), whether it was reinstalled at exactly the same depth as before, and whether the original insertion depth (the value given in the documentation or as measured on-site) was reasonable, or if the probe was inserted too deep.
The probe is damaged~~The original poster didn’t clarify whether it’s the wire that’s damaged or the probe itself~~~~ The thermistor probe is inserted into a blind hole in the Kingsbury tile, so it doesn’t protrude through the surface of the tile~~~ So it’s quite strange~~~ Shengyu used to be the leader in China’s compressor industry; well, still is, I guess~~~~ Machines can have minor issues such as excessive oil fumes, but a failure like that of the thermistor is something I’ve never seen before~~~
Send the installation diagram of the temperature probe first; it’s not clear whether it’s a buried type or an inserted type
It’s likely the wire is damaged. In the petrochemical industry, probes are usually installed on ordinary instruments, and instrument technicians generally only focus on placing the probes in place by pushing the wires in; it’s difficult for them to consider how to properly secure those wires. Please have the fitters and instrument technicians resolve the issue on site; of course, the equipment managers should also be there. I guess it was done by a contractor; the fitters and the instrument technicians are from two different companies, right?:lol
Our compressors are the same as well – of the vertically split type
Simply put in a different form: the compressor bearings produced by Zhejiang Fuyang Fuchun River Instrument Factory are easy to install and reliable in use. The price of each bearing is around 2,800 yuan, which is 1,000 yuan more than ordinary ones, but their performance is excellent. Currently, Hangzhou Automobile and Shenyang Steam Turbine both use these bearings, and our factory has also made changes accordingly
How long will it run? All the things mentioned upstairs need to be checked, as well as whether the quality of the lubricating oil in the unit is poor
Is SHENGU still the leader now?
