Condensate pumps are designed to provide 0.71 MPa(g) of pressure at the discharge of the overboard liquid level control valve. Could someone help me understand what this sentence means? I’m not quite clear on it
It essentially explains how this condensate pump is designed – it is controlled by a level control valve, allowing the outlet pressure of the pump to be maintained at 071 MPa. In other words, the designed pressure for this pump is 0.71; it should not exceed this pressure during normal operation. If this pressure is exceeded for an extended period, there is either a problem with the pump’s operation or with the valves.
