I need help from experts. After installing the axial flow fan, I found that the grouting gap between the combined base and the foundation is only 30 to 35 mm, which does not meet the manufacturer’s requirements. How can this be remedied?
If it is a requirement stipulated by the equipment manufacturer, then it is necessary to contact the manufacturer to coordinate and resolve the issue. Axial fans come in various types; for those that are large-sized and have special requirements, they must be modified accordingly to meet those requirements. It would be best to send a video of the on-site equipment for easier discussion and reference.
Generally, the height of the secondary grouting for large-sized units is 50 mm (some specifications require a range of 30–70 mm). This ensures the quality of the secondary grouting; the main purpose is to prevent layering or cracking in the grout. However, if special circumstances result in a grout layer thickness of 30–35 mm, it doesn’t necessarily mean that secondary grouting will cause problems. One simply needs to take certain measures during secondary grouting to ensure that the aforementioned issues do not occur. Common measures: 1. The quality of basic sandblasting must be ensured ; 2. The mixing of non-shrink mortar must be carried out in accordance with the instructions in the mortar manual; no negligence is allowed. 3. The pouring procedure must be strictly controlled. 4. The quality of maintenance must be ensured. The above is for reference only.
Currently, the grouting height is 1.5 cm lower than required. The manufacturer insists that the designed height must be achieved. Shaanxi Gear Joint Base
Are there any on-site photos or drawings of the equipment installation? If the manufacturer insists on a specified height and refuses to make any concessions, then we’ll have no choice but to demolish the existing foundation and rebuild it. Failing to comply with the manufacturer’s installation requirements means that no warranty will be provided in case of any problems down the line; thus, it simply isn’t worth the risk
Hehe, Shaanxi Blower’s equipment is all of a large size; presumably it definitely had to be done as required.
