This mechanical seal has liquid inlet and outlet ports (there is a lubricant level gauge on one side, while the other side is sealed off with screws), as well as cooling water inlet and outlet ports (water enters from below and exits from above). The double-end mechanical seal used for vessel 206 is a modular-type seal; hydraulic testing is generally employed, but the use of water is not recommended. Instead, intermediate products from this vessel or other non-toxic and non-corrosive liquids should be used. Pressure is applied to the inlet and outlet of the sealing fluid, while the other side is sealed off with screws. Let it stand for 30 minutes to check for any leaks; the static leak test is now complete. After the installation in the main vessel is completed, repressurize it and make markings; then run it without load for 30 minutes to check for any leaks or a drop in pressure, thereby completing the dynamic leak test. Cooling water is used to cool the mechanical seal fluid.
