The lubricant station process is shown in the figure. Dear teachers, is the material flow at valve 5 from A to B or from B to A? What is the function of this oil passage?
It should be from A to B. It stems from considerations of the role of the accumulator in the process. For reference.
Thank you for your answer~ If it’s from A to B, then when the accumulator is in operation, isn’t the mechanical seal bypassed? In that case, the lubricating oil flows directly from the accumulator back to the oil outlet of the mechanical seal, so wouldn’t the mechanical seal lose its supply of oil?

Yes. The AB pipe is connected to the inlet of the mechanical seal (i.e., to the outlet of the oil pump).

In the flow from A to B, when the power source for flushing the mechanical seal is lost, the accumulator takes over. The oil in the accumulator flows through valve 5 into valve 14 in the outlet pipeline, then into the inlet pipeline, and finally through valve 3 to the inlet of the mechanical seal, thereby ensuring its flushing and cooling during periods of inactivity.
Valve 14 is a fluid-controlled check valve; when the power source loses pressure, valve 14 remains closed. Will the lubricating oil flow back to the seal inlet through valve 14?
You don’t understand the function of an accumulator; it is only used to eliminate fluctuations in oil pressure and cannot supply oil for a long period of time.
If you first figure out what valve 5 is, you should be able to understand what’s going on
