The risk is that the speed control valve or interlocks are not properly adjusted. It’s due to overspeed or damaged bearing shells; generally, it’s necessary to carry out alignment work before starting up, as well as static testing of the turning gear and various interlocks. As long as an emergency stop function is available, there are usually no problems. Compared to load testing, the biggest issue with the turbine is an increased steam consumption, and the exhaust temperature is higher than when it is under load~~

In that case, there should be no major issues regarding meeting the data and requirements for the initial installation from a mechanical standpoint. Also, it’s important to check whether any changes were made to the speed control system; if so, it’s still recommended to have the manufacturer’s technicians come and make the adjustments
