In screw compressors, rust often forms in the gas-liquid separation tank during operation, causing blockages in the liquid injection filter. Draining from the low point of the separation tank can help alleviate the issue, but rust still appears in the spray filter when the liquid level in the separation tank is low. How can this problem be completely resolved without shutting down the equipment?
What brand of equipment? With normal lubrication and high temperatures, it’s unlikely that rust will form continuously. Do you operate it continuously or intermittently?
Operate continuously; this is a separate system for the lubrication system and the material handling system. Deionized water is used only for cooling. It mainly compresses the fuel gas, and the deionized water is cooled for gas-liquid separation in the lower liquid separation tank.
