The automatic packaging machine in our unit does not use misting oil in its pneumatic system; the manufacturer’s staff said that no oil is needed, and if oil is used, it has to be used continuously. May I ask why?
Pneumatic systems use misting cups to mix compressed air with lubricating oil and spray it onto pneumatic components, thereby achieving lubrication and cooling. But not all pneumatic systems require the use of a atomizing cup. Some automatic packaging machines may use oil-free compressed air or employ other methods to provide lubrication; therefore, the manufacturer informs you that there’s no need to use a misting cup. Once the atomizing cup is put into use, a certain amount of lubricating oil accumulates in the pneumatic system. If the atomizing cup is no longer used, the supply of lubricating oil is cut off, which may have an adverse effect on the pneumatic system.
