Load testing of the cyclodimethyl ether compression unit (nitrogen) at Anhui Carbonxin Ethanol Combined Plant

On November 15, the cyclic dimethyl ether compression unit (nitrogen) of the ethanol production facility in Anhui Carbonxin Technology Co., Ltd.’s methanol comprehensive utilization project passed its load test successfully on the first attempt. It is reported that there are two cyclic dimethyl ether compressors, one in operation and one as a backup. They are motor-driven reciprocating types, and their function is to pressurize the unreacted and recovered dimethyl ether using these compressors, so that it can be fed back into the reaction system once again, thereby increasing the overall conversion rate of the facility. With the successful load testing of the cyclical dimethyl ether compressor unit, another key step has been taken forward in the preparation for the project’s commissioning. It is reported that the project commenced construction in February 2022, and the installation was successfully completed in October 2023; thereafter, the facility moved from the construction phase to the production preparation phase.
