This unit is the first of its kind in China to be fully electrically driven, making it a milestone achievement. The fully electrically driven ethylene plant with three units signed by SHENGU Group is the first of its kind in China and even in the world – a fully electrically driven ethylene plant capable of producing one million tons of ethylene per year. This innovative measure not only responds to the **’s goals of achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality, but it also helps to increase the use of green electricity and the level of electrification in projects. It holds significant milestone importance for promoting the low-carbon transformation of China’s petroleum refining industry ； At the same time, it will also make new contributions to the localization of major technical equipment in our country. The Tarim Phase II ethylene project is a model project in which CNPC leverages its integrated upstream and downstream capabilities to drive the high-value comprehensive utilization of resources. This project features a high degree of domestic equipment utilization, and it boasts the advantages of low overall energy consumption, a high rate of use of green electricity and electrification, as well as near-zero emissions of CO2 and wastewater – in other words, \"low energy consumption, high utilization of green resources and electrification, and near-zero emissions.\" It represents an advanced level in the transformation and upgrading of the refining industry as well as in sustainable, low-carbon development, and holds significant importance for driving high-quality development within this industry.
